Successful weekend for SHARK-riders in Aragon and Scotland

Sam Lowes scored his personal best finish so far this weekend in the World Supersport Championship at Motorland, Aragon. Starting from third on the grid the SHARK-supported rider got to within 0.564 seconds of race victory. The result at the weekend is Lowes third WSS podium and has moved him into sixth place in the overall standings. Fellow SHARK-man Fabien Foret finished in seventh place after some set-up issues held him back, and Gino Rea finished just ahead in sixth position.

Podiums for SHARK-riders in World Supersport and MotoGP

Fabien Foret and Sam Lowes scored a SHARK 2-3 on the podium in the World Supersport class at Misano. Foret got a bad start off the second row and by the end of the first lap had dropped to 11th place. Moving his way back up through the pack, Foret managed to finish an impressive second place just 1.933 seconds behind the eventual race winner.

SHARK double Moto2 podium at Catalunya

SHARK’s Stefan Bradl increased his point advantage this weekend with his third victory in five races. The young German led all but one of the 23-lap race and finished four seconds ahead of second place finisher Marc Marquez. Fellow SHARK-protected Aleix Espargaro achieved his first Grand Prix podium in third place. Scott Redding was in contention for a top ten finish during the opening half of the race moving up into the ranks after just seven laps. SHARK-supported Redding dropped from ninth to 14th on the sixteenth lap and fought back making his way up the pack to finish in 11th.

SHARK-riders on the podium at Thruxton and at Miller SBK

This weekend the fourth round of the British Superbike Championship came from Thruxton in Hampshire. Michael Laverty secured his first victory of the season in the opening race. The SHARK-rider landed an impressive win in tricky conditions after working his way up through the pack to take the lead on lap eight. During race two Laverty struggled with the tricky conditions and finished a respectable seventh.
